Retail Water Loss Reopened in Seventy-Two Hours

A failed water heater in the service corridor flooded the stockroom and most of the sales floor overnight. Every day closed was costing more than the restoration.

We got the call at 5:40 in the morning and had extraction running before nine. Stock was triaged into salvageable, cleanable and total loss, photographed and inventoried on the floor so the claim could be built while work continued.

The sales floor was dried first and released back to trading on day three with containment holding the stockroom, which stayed under drying and reconstruction for another two weeks. Crews worked from close of business into the night to avoid customer hours.

Final works - fixtures, base, paint and floor finishes in the stockroom - were completed around the store's trading schedule. The store never closed again after day three.
